INVOCATIONS AGAINST EVIL PORTENT

 “Allahumma la taira illa tiruka, wa la khaira illa khaira, wa la ilaha ghairuka.”

O Allah there is no portent other than your portent, no goodness other than our goodness, and no God other than you.

INVOCATION TO FOIL THE DEVIL’S PLOT

“Audhu bikalimaa tillahit taamaat il lati la yujaawizuhunna barrun wa la faajirun min sharri ma khalaqa, wa bara’a wa dhara’a, wa min sharri ma ya’ruju feeha, wa min sharri ma dhara’a fil ardi, wa min sharri ma yakhruju minha, wa min sharri fitanillaili wan nahaari wa min sharri kulli tariqin illa taariqan yatruqu bikhairin ya Rahman.”

I seek refuge in the perfect word of Allah which neither the upright nor the corrupt may overcome, from the evil of what he created, of what he made, and of what he scattered… from the evil of what descends from the heavens and of what rises to them… from the evil of what he scattered in the earth and of what emerges from it…. From the evil trails of night and day and from the evil of every abandoned thing, except that which has been abandoned for good. O Merciful one.

INVOCATION FOR SETTLING DEBTS

“Allahumma inni a’udhu bika minal hammi wal’ hazani, wal ajzi wal kasali, wal bukhli wal jubni, wa dala ‘id daina wa ghalabir rijaali.”

Oh Allah I seek refuge in you from despondency and sadness, from weakness and from laziness, from miserliness and from cowardice, from perversion of faith and from the domination of others.

Whoever says:

“Subhan Allahil ‘Azeemi wa bi hamdihi”

 Glorified is Allah the most Great and praise is he

will have a date palm tree planted for him in paradise.
